My name is Cameron Martin. I am a 24 year old college student that is finishing up my pro pilot degree. i currently obtain a commercial multi-engine pilot license and wish to pursue my career in the airlines. motorsports has been such a big part of my life growing up. i Started out racing go-karts with my older brother at a young age. after competitively racing go karts for the first 10 years of my life i then switched to off-road machines which consisted of dirt bikes and four wheelers. after that, i was old enough to drive legally on the street and really started to get into cars. I was big into the car scene and my twin turbo camaro was the center of my attention for a while . after watching my brother get into sxs racing and seeing how much fun he was having in the fields i decided to also give it a go. i drove around in an old polaris 800 for a while but quickly decided that i wanted to go faster. I got into a rs1 and ended up racing it right away. my first season i consistently placed top 10 against turbo machines, and almost every single race i was the fastest n/a buggy. after feeling like the rs1 wasn’t strong enough to keep up with the turbo buggies i decided to switch over to an x3 turbo r. my first race in the can am i qualified 4th and put down the second fastest lap of the day but ended up not finishing due to a broken stock a arm. i’m really enjoying this machine and have had quite a few podiums in it! i recently took it out to KING Of the hammers 2022 and really enjoyed it. i had some bad luck in qualifying causing me to start in the back of the pack at 88th and by the end of lap 1 i passed 30+ cars. in lap 2 i had a power steering unit failure and couldnt finish the race. overall i plan on being back at hammers in 2023! im looking forward to another great race season on the east coast in 2023 as well!
